Flower Template Tutorial with Leeann Pearce

Hello and Welcome!!

Twiddleybitz recently released some fabulous new templates which are perfect for adding detail and customising your projects.

Design Team Member LEEANN PEARCE has been having some fun with the new TEM005 Flower Template.

***
There’s nothing cooler that making your own embellishments for your pages. It adds that
personal touch. I love that idea. I have seen these flowers all around the place but was unsure on how to make them. It wasn’t until I received the Twiddleybitz acrylic shaped templates and now I know how too: So now it’s my turn to share with you how I used them. I made a few little changes and went for sewing a bead in the middle.

Before you start – peel off the protective covering over the acrylic.
Step 1: Select cardstock/Pattern Paper and trace around each flower template.
Step 2: Cut out - you should have 3 flowers and 3 different sizes.
Step 3: Cut a slit in each of the flowers.

Step 4: Grab a kebab stick and roll each of the petals.
Step 5: Shape each flower like a cone and glue.

Step 6: Now stitch flowers together and also the bead.

Step 7: Make some leaves from leftover cardstock or pattern paper. Machine stitch leaves for extra detail.

I hope you have enjoyed this little tute and we look forward to seeing a heap of Twiddleybitz handmade flowers on our NING site.

Thanks so much Leeann Pearce
